Scarab Beetle Necklace

£27.00

Carrying on with the Egyptian theme of my latests designs I decided to make a scarab beetle. To the ancient Egyptians the scarab beetle was a symbol of Khepri, the early morning manifestation of the sun god Ra. Which is pretty cool. Also a scarab beetle is in fact a dung beetle and the circular part on the symbol is Khepri rolling the sun across the sky, but also an analogy of the dung beetle rolling the dung across the floor. Pretty disgusting but interesting none the less!

The scarab beetle is quite large, measuring 8.6cm wide and 9.5cm high. It is laser cut from perspex and comes in gold mirrored, blue mirrored or silver mirrored all on a black plated chain.
